For a number of years Ros Rawlings has run a dance class during the summer when local RSCDS branches are on summer break. Summer 2020 was no different despite the many challenges thrown at us by the Covid 19 pandemic, which had to be overcome with regard to the organisation and running of the events.
Ros found and read the many changing Government guidelines relating to what you can and cannot do during the pandemic. She persevered and after some deliberation came to the conclusion that dancing could go ahead out doors, if kept to a maximum of 30 people, wearing masks and gloves, keeping one to two meters apart.
The call for suggestions of a venue went out and luckily replies came back from Mavis Monahan and the Clements brothers, Hangstones playing field, Yatton and Bitton railway station respectively.
Rules read, venues found …. just the weather to arrange!!
